Fabulous new look for the Vapor 12 Hypersmash. Get to every single ball with blistering speed in the Vapor 12. With a reworked upper and traction pattern, it's lighter and more responsive than the 11. And Nike brought back Air Zoom cushioning, so you can always be on the attack. This special design celebrates shared respect between hoopers and hard court stars, taking its cues from an iconic Hyperdunk 2008 colorway and blending it with our Vapor 12 technology.

Throwback Theme

This design celebrates the crossover from the hardwood to the hard court with colors synonymous with reclaimed world glory. A haptic print recreates the iconic Flywire look along the upper.

Stick and Cut

The herringbone traction pattern is made of Nike??s new rubber compound that??s lighter than Vapors of the past. It allows you to decelerate, plant and back into position without feeling like you??re rounding off your cuts.

Lighter Load

Nike brought back the firm midfoot plastic piece seen on past Vapors to provide optimal stability and transitions when cutting from side to side. The supportive piece also allowed Nike to remove the rubber in the midfoot, which helps reduce the overall weight of the shoe.

Transfer the Power

A firm foot frame wraps around the supportive midfoot plate and spans from heel to toe, giving you more of a secure feel. It helps give you the stability to transfer power during aggressive slides, cuts and pivots.

Lightweight Upper

Nike reduced the weight of the engineered mesh while maintaining durability in high-wear zones by the toe.
